Personal Bio:

Joanne Dee has over 10 years’ experience in working with children, young people and their families.  After graduating with a BA in Social Care in 2008, Joanne worked for 7 years in residential settings with teenagers displaying challenging behaviours.  Joanne worked for 2 years in a parent and infant assessment setting where she developed a particular interest in parent child attachment and infant mental health.  Since 2017, Joanne has worked as a Project Worker with the School Completion Programme with children in DEIS schools.  In 2019 Joanne completed her research masters in play therapy. This researched focused on the area of childhood disadvantage and the impact this can have on the overall wellbeing of children.

Area of Interest:

Joanne is currently in private practice in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Joanne provides non-directive play therapy for children experiencing emotional / behavioural difficulties including, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, attachment/relationship difficulties, anger issues & children with ASD.
